Press (printing)

The press (printing) by definition is a process of transfer of dye (printing paint, a toner) from a printing form on the sealed material. Way of the press is called printing process of replication of the printing edition. The knowledge of features and opportunities of separate ways of the press allows to approach more competently placement of the order, negotiations with performers, and it reduces probability to receive the printed materials very different from what it would be desirable. For example, it is better to print pencil drawings in the offset way on rough uncoated paper, and it is better to print monochromatic gray-scale photos in the way of an intaglio printing. Water color tone in offset turn out soft and gentle, and deep shadows in tone illustrations in an intaglio printing are more juicy. It is better to print the texts and originals containing thin lines in the way of a relief printing, and it is even better a metallography, and on a corrugated cardboard nothing, except as a flexography or a stencil process, you will print.
