Pigments for concrete

Pigments in general can be divided into two categories: natural and synthetic.

Natural pigments are ores: the red and yellow oxides of iron got in Spain, India and China; the umbra (brown) got in Cyprus; the manganese dioxide extracted in Russia, China and North Africa. Though natural ores differ on shades as sand and gravel, any considerable deviations are in color excluded. All production conforms to the color standards accepted by the producer.

Synthetic pigments are usually made from salts of iron, by-products of steel industry or from the steel waste dissolved in acid and which were defended. Colors — red, yellow, black and brown (mix 3rd previous). During production tolerances are carefully controlled color conformed to the standard. For coloring of concrete and concrete mix it is possible to use natural or synthetic pigments or their mix.
