Asconi owns about 400 hectares of vineyards of grades: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and the Muscat Ottonel located near the village of Dzhamena, in central (Kodrova) to a wine-making zone of Moldova at distance of 40 km to the South from Chisinau and in only 10 km from winery.
Official history of industrial winemaking in Pukhoye began in 1958 when on the suburb sat down, on the bank of the small rivulet Pukhoy, was constructed so-called "vinpunkt" which accepted and processed technical grades of grapes from grape farms of nearby villages: Dzhamena, Veratik, Tsypalo, Gangura, Misovka, etc. In the early nineties, the enterprise made already about 5 thousand tons of wines in a year of the European and local grades, such as Fetyask, Traminer, Chardonnay, Pino Fran, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, etc. These wines were delivered across all territory of the former USSR.
