Linseed oil

Technical linseed oil exceeds other oils on siccative properties (property of fast drying) with formation of the strong solid film protecting from moisture and corrosion.

Natural drying oil - boiled linseed oil - is widely used in the paint - and - varnish industry, in production of the alkyd resins, linoleum, some grades of oilcloth, the cable industry. Impregnation of uncolored wooden coverings boiled linseed oil still is considered the most resistant and therefore it is widely used for facing of wooden structures. >

At oil heating without access of air receive the so - called typographical drying oil which is not washing away from metals which is used not only in printing works, but also as insulating lacquer in electrical equipment, rubber industry.
