The installation for evaluating the effectiveness of ARPD inhibitors of the Monicor - XC - 6 brand is designed to determine the amount of asphalt - resin - paraffin deposits (ARPD) deposited from oil on a cooled metal surface and evaluate the effectiveness of their inhibition in oil samples using various reagents.
The essence of the process is that a metal “cold” rod is introduced into oil heated to a given temperature with ARPD, which has a stable low temperature, causing ARPD crystallization on it. After the end of the experiment, it is necessary to weigh all the deposits that have fallen on the rod, having previously separated them from it. Additions of ARPD inhibitors to oil make it possible to reduce the precipitation of deposits on a cold rod. A feature of the Installation is the use of 6 cells simultaneously for experiments, a circulation pump to ensure uniform heating of cells and rods with ARPD after the experiment, in order to “melt” and allow them to drain in full. The control of the switching of the coolant flows is carried out using three - way ball valves with an electric drive, which reduces the physical effort applied by the personnel when working with the Unit. All this in combination makes it possible to facilitate the experimental work, increase its productivity and improve the reliability of the results.
