How it works?

By the principle of work the solar battery represents the photo-electric generator of a direct current which uses effect of transformation of radiant energy to electric. More precisely, in solar batteries property of semiconductors on the basis of silicon crystals is used. Light quanta, getting on a semiconductor plate, beat out an electron from an external orbit of atom of silicon that creates enough free electrons for emergence of electric current.

However in order that tension and there was enough power of such source for application in the economic purposes, it is not enough one or two silicon elements. Therefore they are brought together in the whole panels where connect in parallel or consistently for obtaining necessary parameters on current and tension. It can make the area of such panels of several square centimeters to several square meters. Increasing the number of panels, it is possible to achieve the bigger made power. However productivity of the solar battery depends not only on the area, but also on intensity of a sunlight and a hade of beams. Therefore, productivity of the solar battery depends on the district and geographic latitude where the house, from weather and a season, from time of day is located.
