Baking soda

Sodium bicarbonate has a wide range of uses. It is purchased for use in the following industries:

• in non - ferrous metallurgy;
• in the production of household chemicals;
• as a foam generator in the production of specialized detergents;
• for the manufacture of fire extinguishers, cleaning agents for gas mixtures;
• in the textile industry (soda is part of many types of rubber, artificial leather, is used to process natural raw materials - hides, cotton, silk);
• in the production of foam and other synthetic materials, as well as paints and varnishes;
• in medical production, as a weak antiseptic.

Sodium bicarbonate is also used in the food industry as an E500 additive. It acts mainly as a baking powder, added to baked goods, desserts, and sugary drinks.
