Asbokarton of KAON represents an asbestine leaf of 1000 by 800 millimeters in size. Its structure uses hrizotilovy asbestos - a natural kind of hydrosilicates, it is easily split on thin strong fibers which as a result look as crystals of tubular or rolled structure. Asbokarton KAON 1 is used for thermal insulation at a temperature of isolated surface no more than 500�C. Asbokarton KAON 2 is applied to consolidation of connections of devices, the equipment or communications which work with the maximum pressure in 0,6 MPas and the maximum temperatures of a working environment: for gas - 500�C, the alkaline environment - 200�C, solutions and fusions of salts, and also organic compounds - 400�C, inorganic acids - 120�C.
Thermal insulation with use of asbestos sheet possesses a number of considerable advantages before other materials. The cardboard asbestine differs in durability, reliability, high strength rates and bioproofness (it is not subject to infection with a fungus or mold).
Application of an asbokarton ensures full fire safety as the asbestine cardboard does not burn, does not melt and does not emit harmful substances when heating to 500�C. Mechanical durability - the important characteristic of heat-insulating materials as insulating coverings which are easily deformed lose the heat-insulating properties. Asbokarton has high rates on mechanical durability at the expense of structure of hrizotilovy asbestos which, in fact, represents a stone that allows asbestos sheet to provide stable thermal insulation throughout the long term of operation.
