Ink is made of the burned-through stones of apricot.

In the Chinese national medicine seeds of apricot are applied as sedative at cough, hiccups. China recommends to accept apricot seeds in combination with other drug plants at bronchitis, tracheitis, laryngitis, whooping cough, and also nephrite.
