The use of ammonium carbonate as a leavening agent in the baking and confectionery industries is based on the decomposition process associated with the release of gases. Ammonium carbonate is also used: - in medicines (cough syrups, ammonia, etc. ); - as a fermentation accelerator in the production of wine; - as a component of fire extinguishing compositions; - in cosmetics as dyes; - as a component of a solution for cleaning the barrels of firearms (RFS).
